About me

Hi, I'm a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC),  working in the NHS and in private practice. I offer online and face-to-face psychological therapy to adults (aged 18 and over) experiencing a wide range of common mental health difficulties (e.g. generalised anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, work stress, anger, social anxiety, low self-confidence and adjustment to physical health problems). I love to help people. I do this by drawing upon different therapeutic models, and utilising your own strengths to bring about positive change and ultimately achieve more of things that are important to you!

I am trained in the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies, namely Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I am able to integrate other therapeutic models, such as Mindfulness, Systemic Approaches and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to ensure the best possible therapy outcome for you. I am also trained in Behaviour Family Therapy (BFT).

I can offer online or telephone appointments. Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, I can also offer appointments in person at One Allan Park Wellbeing Clinic, 1 Alan Park Stirling FK8 2QG.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology - University of Edinburgh
  • MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care - Universities of Stirling and Dundee
  • MA (Hons) Psychology - University of Glasgow

I have completed additional training in:

  • Behaviour Family Therapy

Health and Care Professions Council

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
