Hi, first of all, I would like to say well done for taking this step of looking for a therapist or counsellor to support you with the issue or issues that are impacting on your life. I totally understand, that for many people, making this move can be very daunting and thus I never underestimate the courage that is needed to start your therapy journey.
I will provide you with a safe, gentle, non-judgmental, confidential space where you will be carefully listened to as I seek to understand the reason why you have decided to come to therapy now. We will work together to explore what you are wishing to change in your life, and how you would like to be after your therapy has finished.
If there is a particular problem that has brought you to therapy, we will work together to find strategies to deal effectively with the problem. If you have a general feeling of dissatisfaction with your life, relationships, or work, we will explore where this is coming from to help understand this and bring about the changes that you are wanting to make.
You may have experienced a life changing loss, separation, or bereavement that you are finding difficult to, process, understand and adjust to. Your grief is unique, nobody has ever grieved like you are doing. I will support and guide you on your journey to finding ways of managing your grief safely and effectively.
I have worked directly with people in social care settings for over 30 years. I completed a 4-year post- graduate training course qualifying as a Psychotherapist specialising in Relational Transactional Analysis. I have a practice in Rodney Street Liverpool offering face-to-face or Zoom sessions.
I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
