Lesley Padley MBACP
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else, is the greatest accomplishment" - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, really low, or like something is a bit wrong? Perhaps you want to make changes in your life and need support to do so. Perhaps you would like to explore past and present issues and how they are impacting you.
I am here to create a space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe non-judgmental environment. I am a warm nurturing person, and you can be confident that what we talk about will remain confidential. Together we can take positive steps to a better understanding of who you are and a brighter future.
I am a fully qualified humanistic integrative counsellor offering support with anxiety, depression, low moods, sadness, life changes, loss, relationship issues and family issues. I currently work in a therapy room based within a craft and therapy centre in Sandiacre.
I strongly believe that you are the expert on you, and so, I won't tell you what to do, but I will use my skills, to help you get to know yourself better, and come to a new understanding of what is happening to you.
I will listen to you and try to see and understand the world through your eyes. Whatever you bring to therapy we will walk through it together at a pace that is comfortable for you.
Sessions usually last for 50 minutes once a week
For more information or to book an initial appointment please call or email me. We can discuss your requirements over the phone. Only I deal with phone calls and emails and you can rest assured they are strictly confidential.
If you would like to continue I will arrange an reduced rate session (£10 charge) so we can meet and talk about what you would like to get out of our work together, this also gives you a chance to decide if I am the right counsellor for you. I can explain anything that needs to be clarified and answer any questions you have.
If you are happy to, we will then arrange to meet weekly for an initial period, I would suggest 6-10 sessions after which we will regularly review to check if you are happy to continue (£40 per session).
I also offer couples counselling. See my website for full details - £20 for initial assessment, and £55 per session (usually 60 minutes).
