About me

My personal life experiences and training has given me the capacity to be empathic towards many life changing issues. At times, life can feel extremely hard, lonely, painful, full of difficult anxieties and very challenging. I believe by talking these through in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental way, allowing time and space to explore difficult feelings, will enable one to gain more understanding in order to move forward more positively. I feel it is very important too when facing difficult phases or past traumas to build a trusting relationship with a Counsellor.

Counselling is not always easy but through psychotherapy, this has helped me to develop a more compassionate relationship with myself and others, and motivates me to support others in this process in a respectful and creative way. You may have decided that you want to change something about your life and are now looking for a counsellor then you are already on your way to gaining a better understanding of yourself and your circumstances.

I offer both short term and open ended counselling.

I may not answer my telephone if I am working but please do leave a message. My mobile is dedicated to counselling and is fully confidential.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
