About me

Whatever it is that is distressing you (events from your past, a recent trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, the breakdown of a relationship...), with over 25 yrs experience as a counsellor and therapist working with individuals and couples, I provide a warm, safe and confidential environment to explore the challenges that you are facing.

About the work:

Psychosynthesis works primarily as a person-centred ‘talking therapy’.  The work is always designed around your needs and what works best for you. The aim is to empower and support you in your quest to resolve the issues you are exploring so that you can move on with your life in a positive and balanced way.

The work is integrative and draws from a wide spectrum of therapeutic approaches. It also encompasses a transpersonal element for those who wish to explore this aspect of their lives.

About how I work:

Providing a genuinely warm, supportive and nurturing space in which to allow you to confidentially explore the difficult and painful issues that are affecting your life is an important aspect of my work.

It is also important that you feel empowered throughout the counselling process at the same time as trusting and having confidence in your counsellor. For this reason people sometimes like to book an initial session before making a decision about whether to go ahead with counselling.  An initial session is an opportunity for us to meet and discuss your needs more fully, and to see if the therapeutic space I offer is the right way forward for you. The cost of this session is kept deliberately low.

If you are feeling at all anxious about the next step and would like to find out more please feel free to phone or email me. (There is no obligation to book a session.)

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
