About me

Hello! My name is Leigh and I am licensed art psychotherapist. You may be experiencing challenges including loss, anxiety, depression, or life transitions, or are looking to work through experiences of trauma, stress, and feelings of dissconnection. Sometimes, its hard to put into words exactly what you're feeling. No matter your reason for coming to therapy, I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and gentle space to explore your situation and feelings.

I work with older teens and adults, and approach my practice from a trauma-informed lense, using creativity alongside more traditional talking techniques to help my clients.

Art making can help you discover parts of your inner self and express them through metaphor, which helps us explore our emotions in a safe space. It is not an art class and you do not need to be "good at art." The focus of art therapy is on the process of making, not the product. I will work with you to put you at ease - no experience necessary!

I work with clients across a variety of needs, including trauma, life transitions, relationships, anxiety, depression, and more. You may have an area of interest when coming to therapy, or are simply curious about exploring your feelings. Please reach out for more info and to see if we are a good fit.

Further information

I approach my art therapy practice from a trauma-informed lens, working in a person-centred way that values all of who you are. When you first come in to therapy, we will take some time to get to know one another and approach the artmaking in a way that works for you. The pace of sessions differs for every client, and together we will explore creative thinking and artmaking.

I am a person-centred therapist, focusing on your unique needs, preferences, and goals, and treating you as a whole person rather than solely as a condition, problem, or diagnosis. I use visual art media to help individuals explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I'm happy to have a chat with you to see if we are a good fit together!
