About me
Hi, I'm Leigh-Catherine ~ LCI Counselling & Wellbeing
As a qualified counsellor, I provide psychotherapeutic support and guidance to anyone or any group of people struggling with mental health or personal problems that may be impacting on their lives negatively. Working with those who are serious about wanting to live more authentically, making necessary changes in order to do so.
I can help you explore, understand and find purpose in the present and for the future. I enjoy what I do because I am compelled to assist in addressing and overcoming developmental challenges, psychological obstacles and traumatic life experiences.
I use a person centred humanistic therapeutic approach where your well-being is always paramount. I offer open-ended and short-term therapy to adults, young people, children and families.
My work with young people involves helping them express their feelings in a safe way, gain mastery over difficult emotions, test out new ways of being and problem solve - gaining confidence, self-esteem and improving their resilience and communication.
I promote self-belief, enhance self-insight and build resilience, and I believe the most powerful way for one to learn is through discovery and transformational personal development growth. Ultimately, the work you do on yourself will empower you to become the very best version of yourself.
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation - please contact me to arrange.

Testimonials:
"My 7 year old daughter was having some behavioural problems at school and sometimes at home and I was at the end of my tether trying to find a solution to help her with her anger issues. I looked online and found Leigh-Catherine and she was kind enough to have an initial phone call with me. My daughter began sessions with her and they immediately formed a bond and my daughter felt safe and comfortable to talk to Leigh Catherine about her feelings. My daughter saw Leigh-Catherine for around three months and noticeably improved her behaviour at school and at home. She was taught coping techniques and also helped to identify her anger before it escalated. She looked forward to the sessions because they revolved around play and creative activities and she still to this day asks when she can see Leigh-Catherine again."
"I am truly grateful to Leigh and her patient and gentle approach to counselling. She made me feel comfortable from the beginning and I felt like she understood me even when I was struggling to understand myself. Leigh's kindness and support got me through a difficult time in my life and I now feel better equipped to deal with any future challenges." Becca (University Student)
"Through our sessions you have given me the confidence to move my life in a new, positive direction. Offering guidance, support and encouragement, I found our sessions very worthwhile and although there were many tears there was more laughter. I left each session feeling that I can deal with my anxieties and this has made a real difference in my life. So thank you Leigh, for your positive empathetic approach." Barbara (Headmistress)
"My sessions with Leigh have been so fulfilling and extraordinarily helpful when it came to dealing with past issues that I wasn't able to work through myself. When I came out as non-binary, she also helped me discover hidden moments pertaining to my gender identity in my past which only served to help me greater understand myself and why I felt certain ways. Overall my experience with Leigh has been everything I needed and more and I am hugely thankful for her help." Ali
