About me
Is doubting affecting your life? Do you get stuck going over possible scenarios, doubting yourself, feeling like something bad might happen or like you've done something wrong? Do you get stuck in mental loops trying to figure things out, get certainty and resolve things to help you feel better? (which is often short-lived!). Whatever your OCD theme is/thoughts are, I have very likely come across them. I-CBT is an evidence-based therapy for people experiencing OCD. According to I-CBT, obsessional doubts arise from dysfunctional reasoning characterised by a tendency to distrust our senses and over-rely on our imagination.
I-CBT is an evidence based therapy for OCD; it does not involve exposures. I-CBT focuses on the faulty reasoning that led to the doubts in the first place, and by targeting the beginning of the doubt, the obsessing, anxiety, distress and compulsions starts to fall away!
To learn more about I-CBT and how it can help you, contact me to book a free online consultation. There is absolutely no obligation to start therapy following a consultation - it is just a supportive space to say 'Hi' to one another, ask each other questions and get a sense of whether we'd be a good fit to work together.
As well as I-CBT, I provide short and long term therapy for a range of experiences including stress, fear, worry, overthinking and relationship difficulties. I bring 18 years of professional mental health experience and a commitment to work together towards your goals, make positive change and live a more fulfilling life in the present moment!

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
