About me
How Counselling can help.
I'm Leah and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
From past experience, I know it can be hard to reach out for help. Whether you are experiencing a crisis, traumatic event, or recurring difficulty, it can be helpful to get support rather than struggling on your own. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor, offering both short and long term counselling to adults, young adults, teenagers and pre-teens. I work with clients in an integrative way, this may include looking at your past and present situations. Working together at your own pace, we can find ways to further understand yourself and your potential.
I work with all forms of difference sensitively in the room and specialise in working with clients who are neurodivergent. Whatever your needs, I offer a relaxed, non-judgemental, confidential space for you to explore what you would like to get support with. I believe that each person is unique and I focus my work to fit with your individual needs.
My core therapy is Person-Centred, however, I draw on additional theories such as Cognitive Behavioural and compassion-focused therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I offer the use of creative materials for clients who prefer to explore in this way and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
