About me

Are you finding it difficult to relate to a partner? Struggling with depression or anxiety? Would you like to talk through a loss of a loved one? Finding it hard to concentrate at work?

Whatever has brought you to considering accessing support, I would like to take this opportunity to recognise the step that you are making. It can be daunting to firstly recognise an issue and secondly to ask for help. I understand what a big decision this is and I hope that you take the time to find the right “fit” for you, as the relationship you build with your counsellor is an essential foundation for how helpful the therapy is for you.

About my work

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, which means I have training in different techniques including person-centred, CBT, psychodynamic and solution focused therapy.I have experience in many areas of therapeutic work and I have previously worked for Mental Health Charity MIND, in two different settings, which provides me with experience of both brief and long-term therapy. I currently work in an employee wellbeing setting providing support to employees who are facing both personal and work based stressors/life events. I have over 500 hours of counselling experience to date and have worked with different cultures, genders and age groups. I deeply believe in the importance of adapting to suit the individual and their world and their story, not using a “one size fits all approach”.

Can I help?

I can provide a genuine, non-judgemental and safe environment for us to work collaboratively together in the aim of helping you move forward or find a resolution. My areas of specialism include Anxiety, Depression, Relationship Issues, Bereavement, Abuse, including domestic, sexual and emotional. I also have experience of working with teenagers and have completed training in this area. Even if what is troubling you seems small, if it is playing on your mind and affecting your wellbeing it could be really helpful for you to talk this through.

If you feel you would like to meet me, please feel free to drop me an email. From there we can arrange a face-to-face initial assessment or a telephone assessment, to help you make a decision on whether you would like us to work together and for me to get to know your needs. I work in a comfortable room situated in a professional modern building in Tewkesbury town centre with access to parking and not far from the motorway. Please see fees section for financial information.
