About me

Therapy is not always about feeling better initially, but a great deal about getting better at feeling. I can help my clients to work with their emotions by helping them to develop cognitive, emotional and behavioural strategies in a non-judgemental and empathic atmosphere. I am committed to helping my clients help themselves by exploring their psychological problems and empowering them to make changes for themselves.

I am a rational-emotive and cognitive behaviour therapist accredited with the BABCP and the Association for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy. I am experienced in working with a wide range of emotional issues including depression, anxiety (including social, panic, obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobias), low self-esteem, self-harm and eating disorders.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Rational-Emotive and Cognitive Behaviour therapy. I have been working in the private mental health sector over the last 4 years and also currently work in the charity sector in the South-East London area. In addition to these therapy models I have experience of working with individuals who struggle with emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal skills. I help individuals to implement mindfulness in different ways to benefit them.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
