About me

Hello & welcome to my page :)
Thanks for taking the courage to consider change & learning to let go of the unhelpful baggage keeping you stuck.

Who am I?

I am a fully qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and SSSC registered Social Worker. I have over ten years experience working in the caring sectors.

I have a warm & bubbly way of being, I think this helps the people I work with open up and find the bravery to talk through difficultes. Together we will work together to help you reach your goals to feel better.

I know that acessing therapy for the first time can feel a little daunting and anxiety provoking but it is well worth the work. I’ve seen many, many people respond well to cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) in managing their mental health difficulties & problems. Hang in there & lets work towards you feeling more hopeful about your situation & life.

What I offer?
I offer CBT therapy for 60 minutes. This is either face to face or via Zoom (online therapy). I use CBT which is an evidence-based therapy used in the NHS to treat many mental health difficulties. I also integrate other therapies such as mindfulness, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) & compassion focused therapy.
Please contact me if you wish to receive a free 15 minute telephone consultation & I can tell you a little more. Or get in touch via email or telephone to enquire about booking an appointment.

What is CBT?
CBT is an evidence based therapy (Yes it works!) in treating difficulties such as depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, phobias, addictions, health anxiety & a range of other emotional & mental health difficulties.

In CBT we identify unhealthy, negative beliefs & behaviours & replace them with healthy, adaptive ones.

My Experience

I have provided therapy in an addiction services aligned with the NHS, charities, adoption and fostering services, in local councils to school children, to NHS clients though an online platform and as part of my private practice, Inner Glow Therapy.

I have a professional interest in working with anxiety disorders (generalised anxiety, OCD, agoraphobia, phobias & health anxiety.

Prior to working as a CBT therapist I worked as a senior social worker: supervising & assessing foster carers. I also worked as a child protection social worker; and worked in young people’s emergency refuges.

Social media platforms

I have an Instagram page, posting about mental health and raising awareness. This might also give you an idea of what kind of therapist I am :)
