About me
Welcome to Talk Feel Heal Therapy, my name is Laura and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I work with young people and adults who are struggling with their mental wellbeing and feeling stuck.
People go to therapy for many different reasons;
- You may be feeling anxious, stressed, depressed, overwhelmed with emotions, disconnected from yourself, and loved ones?
- You may be feeling stuck in these vicious cycles and don’t know what to do?
- You may have unresolved traumas that could be contributing and impacting on your daily life?
I can help you! Working with me, you will go from feeling overwhelmed and hopeless to insightful and peaceful.
I am passionate about empowering individuals to begin or continue with their journey of self-discovery, reconnection, and healing. I have decades of experience and expertise working with young people and adults.
My specialist areas are:
- Relationship issues
- Life transitions
- Loss of self / identity
- Emotional turmoil
- Trauma / Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Therapy can be powerful and transformational!
My philosophy is simple, yet effective. By talking and feeling we heal!
This may sound easy; however, you’ll be surprised how challenging this can be and this is where my expertise come in. My role will be to support you to safely explore and reconnect with your inner world. We will do this by discovering your true thoughts and feelings, by being curious about your behaviours and difficulties and by making connections which will enlighten and free you.
We will sense-make together, which will provide you with deep insight and self-awareness, confidence and self-worth, clarity, and focus. We will do this at your pace.
I will offer you a space to pause, take a breath, be heard, and supported - free from judgment. You will have my undivided attention, respect, care, and transparency.
I know reaching out can feel scary and takes courage.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation, where we can talk about what is going on for you and what you would like to get from therapy. I will share a little about my practice and we can see if we are a good fit. Most importantly, I can answer any questions you may have about therapy and hopefully put your mind at ease.
I’m really looking forward to working with you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
