I have a BA Hons degree in humanistic counselling. I am empathic, genuine and non-judgemental. I have been working, part-time in conjunction with the NHS for approx. 7 years. At present, I work on a 1 to 1 basis as well as running groups. During that time I have also worked as a drug and alcohol telephone counsellor.
I give my clients time and space which can help process awareness in finding ones own needs in relation to her steps to recovery. I offer each of my clients compassion and understanding. I like to feel that I make a person feel comfortable and safe aiding them in their healing process.
I have been trained using CBT which concentrates on a clients thoughts, feelings and behaviour and helps to solve current problems and change unhelpful thinking and behaviour.
What should I expect from my first session?
As the first session is free, we can discuss how the sessions will be of benefit to you and how you feel comfortable working, reviews of your sessions can be looked at on a regular basis reflecting back on areas of concern.
My approach is helping you to achieve healing within the therapeutic process. I offer short & long term counselling to fit with your needs.
Where I Work
I have my own private room which has its own entrance with very comfortable and peaceful surroundings, the area is quiet which offers tranquillity and peace which allows space to process thoughts and feelings.
Parking is available.
