About me
Hi, I'm Laura and I enjoy helping people to explore what's going on in their lives and the thoughts, feelings that this can bring. Life can be tricky and at times feel unfair. We can often find ourselves putting a happy face on to the outside world but what is going on inside is very different!
When life becomes difficult, many people can experience feeling alone and disconnected from their family, friends and even from themselves! I can offer you a warm, caring and safe place to explore what's going on for you to find meaning and purpose in your life, to feel connected and find the "real" you again.
I have experience of working with Autistic, ADHD and Neurodiverse Clients. People who use Masking to get through each day and people who have lost their way! If you are experiencing low self-esteem, anxiety or having family issues and would like a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings, then I'm here for you!
I am kind, caring and down to earth. I feel that by keeping sessions real and by being myself, this can put people at ease to share what is going on for them. I will meet your thoughts and feelings with care and understanding, not judgement, so we can sit together and you can work out a way forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified and insured integrative counsellor, who tailors the sessions to meet your needs. I continued my counselling studies to a higher level of psychotherapeutic counselling, so I can work in depth safely, with what each client may bring.
During our sessions together, you can share as little or as much as you want, at your own speed. You may wish to come for a short number of sessions or long term. You are in control of your sessions!
We can explore the problems you bring and the effect they are having on you now or I can use my skills, knowledge and training to trace them back to childhood and process them safely. I will meet your thoughts and feeling with care and understanding, not judgment.
I have lived experience and training in working with autism, ADHD , dyslexia, dyspraxia, chronic illness and conditions like C.F.S, M.E, fibromyalgia and the feelings these bring. I have worked with a wide variety of clients and embrace people's uniqueness- "Everybody" is welcome here!
I hold a safe, caring, professional, supportive space for all clients. I feel very grateful that people feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings with me.
I am also SANDS Baby Loss trained and here to help mums and dads navigate their loss and talk about their loved one. This can often be a taboo subject as parents feel they cannot truely confide with the people closest to them, as they may be trying to protect their thoughts and feelings. I am here for you to talk about your experience, the pain of your loss and to hear your baby's name!
If you feel Lost? Stuck? Confused? Misunderstood? or Disconnected? then get in touch and I can support you to find meaning and purpose in your life, to feel connected and find the "real" you again.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
