How I Can Help
Clients come to me when they are feeling lost and leave feeling empowered, having made sense of how they are feeling and being able to do things differently. I successfully support clients to achieve recovery from addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, shame and behaviours like self-harm.
I specialise in anxiety, depression, wellbeing and mindfulness. Offering individual counselling I work short or longer term depending on your need, we will discuss this at our first meeting.

Training, qualifications & experience
Diploma in Humanistic Counselling - Metanoia Institute
2:1 BSc (Hons) Reflective Therapeutic Practice - Middlesex University
I have been supporting people in mental wellbeing for over ten years in both the voluntary sector (Alzheimer's Society, Carers Centre) and NHS settings (Psychological Therapies Service). I am experienced in supporting people with employment difficulties and work related stress to make changes and return to work. Assessing and supporting people's needs has been a central theme of my work experience as has working with people in distress.
I have offered counselling at Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Services where I worked with a wide range of people and difficulties like relationship issues, childhood abuse, managing anger and depression. Having also worked for CRI, an addiction agency, I worked with people on their substance misuse problems which involved much work on trauma, shame and anxiety.
Our work together can also benefit from my knowledge of working with a range of conditions including OCD, BDD, bi-polar disorder, phobias, schizophrenia, personality disorder and PTSD.
