Laura Duffy Ad Dip PC, Dip Hyp
I offer confidential counselling in the Dunstable area, with easy travel links from surrounding towns and villages. I use a tailored approach to each individual using various combinations of counselling to overcome any issue that is affecting you. One approach does not fit all so i believe in working together with you to find the right style and technique that suits you. We are all individuals and should be treated as such. Counselling offers a completely safe environment where you can be yourself without judgement to be able to work through problems.
If you are suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bereavement, self defeating behaviours, fears and phobias then I may be able to help you to over come and achieve your goal.
We all at some time need someone to talk to please feel free to contact me for a consultation.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society and adhere to there ethical frameworks. To find out more about this please visit their website on http://www.nationalcounsellingsociety.org.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have an advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, I attend regular workshops and training days to widen my knowledge and skills. I also have a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, EMDR and EFT.
As well as run my own practice in Dunstable, I proudly work alongside The Jessica Sherman Foundation in Milton Keynes to provide bereavement support to families who have lost a child through miscarriage up to one year. You can find out more about this wonderful organisation at www.tjsf.co.uk.
I previously volunteered at Cruse Bedfordshire offering bereavement support, as well as for Bedford Open Door who provide counselling for 13 to 25 year olds in Bedford.
I love the variety of my work from bereavement support to challenging work with adolescents and young adults. I am always expanding my skills by attending regular training events throughout the year.
