About me

Feeling stuck in a rut, low in mood, anxious and wondering if this is normal? When these questions crop up talking to an experienced counsellor can help.

I am a fully qualified Humanistic Counsellor.    Our focus together is based more on the here and now on how I can help you feel happier and more comfortable in your everyday life rather than looking back into the past, although some of this may arise in sessions it is how you feel now  that is usually the focus .  I believe effective therapy happens where there is relationship, a safe space and time. I like to work collaboratively with my clients and believe that the therapy is a journey we will take together to work towards your desired outcome.

Please call or email to set up a free 30min session where we can talk about what I can offer and what you would like to achieve from counselling. This is a nice opportunity to get a feel for me and my work as I really know how daunting making the first step can be.

I can work with anything that is brought into the room including:-

  • Anxiety
  • Self esteem
  • Identity
  • Bereavement
  • Relationships
  • Trauma
  • Loss
  • Depression

Alongside my private practice I volunteer for a local charity where I am privileged to work with such a wide variety of people.

Due to the current situation I am currently working online via Zoom or on the telephone. When we are able to work face to face, I have a very comfy room in the centre of Hove.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
