About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced Humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist, based in Chiddingfold, working with adults over the age of 16 on a one to one basis. I offer individual short or long-term Counselling / Psychotherapy. Currently working online and by telephone but happy to discuss your preferences for face to face sessions.

Sometimes life can be incredibly challenging, overwhelming and feel a constant battle. Therapy can also be incredibly challenging but asking for help is a sign of strength. I have found it, both as a therapist and as a client, to be an incredibly rewarding experience. It is an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of yourself allowing you to move forward to a more fulfilled way of living. Counselling gives you the time, space and opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings.

I strongly believe in the power we all have within ourselves to make changes and address and alter whatever isn’t working for us. As your therapist I aim to facilitate and encourage you to trust yourself, make your own choices and find your own answers and solutions with my continued support.

I offer a calm, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. My training enables me to draw on different ways of working in order to suit your own personal style and needs.

Every person is unique and deserves the time and space to explore difficulties, fears and concerns in a safe, relaxing and supportive environment. I can help facilitate this by building a warm relationship between us in a genuine and empathetic way. I am here to listen and support you and offer compassion with whatever you bring to the sessions.

I have worked with many different issues, including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, suicidal ideation and self-harm amongst others. In addition to my private practice, I volunteer for The Bereavement Counselling Charity supporting adults through times of grief and loss.

I do not charge for our initial 15 minute session as this provides an opportunity for you to talk about what has bought you to counselling and to get a sense if you would like to work with me and what you would like to gain from sessions. It is important for you to feel safe and comfortable in my company. I am able to offer flexible hours both daytime and evening.

If you have any questions or would simply like more information on counselling please feel free to contact me.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
