About me
I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working within the NHS. I work really hard to ensure each of my clients is offered thoughtful, compassionate and individualised care.
As a clinical psychologist registered with the HCPC, I am trained to provide psychological treatment for a range of difficulties. This includes anxiety, low self-esteem (self criticism and shame), depression, anxiety and trauma related difficulties.
I also work with those who are struggling to manage transitions, loss and those experiencing difficulties in their relationships.
I offer evidence-based therapy that is collaborative, person centred and tailored to the individual. The therapy will focus on developing a shared understanding and will aim to build on strengths and skills.
A key aspect of the work will be exploring the mind through connection to the body. I will also be curious as to how beliefs and patterns in behaviour or relationships may have developed in the context of early experiences, family, culture and society.
Some of the therapies in which I am trained and often draw on are EMDR, CBT, (in particular third wave mindfulness based/compassion based approaches), -as well as systemic and attachment based approaches. I will aim to support you to develop new perspectives and to move towards a life in which you feel fulfilled.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a psychologist, I am trained in a number of therapeutic models. I believe therapy should be flexible to fit into our lives and therefore can offer sessions remotely via video call or some limited face to face sessions.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
