I am a BACP registered counsellor and have a Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling. I work with most issues that can create mental distress and discomfort. I've worked as a health therapist for many years and have seen how the mind can affect the body and vice versa - it's all connected. When things aren't feeling right it can be helpful to explore where those feelings are coming from. Sometimes a session or two may be all that's needed to provide some clarity which may or may not lead to longer work if desired.
The development of self awareness/mindfulness is like good nutrition - it can help to maintain a healthy mind and soul enabling us to find the best way forward for ourselves and our relationships with others.
Being listened to and heard can give us the opportunity to voice our thoughts and hear ourselves in a safe environment. We can get to know and understand our true feelings, find ways to express ourselves more freely, look at our values and our own shortcomings with honesty. We can reconnect with our strengths looking at who and what is important in our lives.
