I am a Humanistic Counsellor specializing in the Person Centred approach. I offer a client led service helping clients to talk through issues at their own pace within a safe and confidential setting. I also work for Health Assured as a telephone Counsellor.
The first session will involve contracting which means I will describe in full what it is I am offering and what to expect as a client as well as an agreed contract between the two of us. I will answer any questions and queries a client may have and make sure they are fully at ease with the arrangement before we begin the counselling.
Unfortunately I am not offering face to face counselling in the current climate so it would be via Zoom or telephone currently. I will usually offer 6 sessions of counselling lasting an hour each once per week to begin with and at that stage we will have a 'review' session in which we look at progress that has been made before deciding whether to end the counselling process there or continue with more sessions. This is also an opportunity for us to exchange feedback.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
