About me

My name is Vella and I am a fully qualified experienced counsellor working in private practice in South Ockendon, Essex. I am an integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I offer confidential Counselling services for individuals & supervision for counsellors. I offer weekly sessions for both short and long term work.

My practice offers a safe warm environment in my conservatory, where you can explore your issues in a non judgemental and confidential place.

My specialised area is, Work place stress, Grievance, Restructure, Transformation, Secondment, Redundancy, Career development and any issues with HR, Occupational health, colleagues or peers, (Bullying, Harassment, Victimisation)

In addition, student personal therapy & supervision.

I also offer counselling for, Anxiety, Depression, Low self esteem, Low self confidence, OCD, Panic attacks, Anger management, Bereavement, Physical abuse, Behaviour, Relationship issues, Seasonal Affective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder.

Counselling is not about giving advice, rather about enabling you to explore your thoughts and feelings about an issue that is affecting you and giving you an opportunity to explore what you can do to move forward. Many of us have areas in our life that we find difficult to manage at times and my aim is to support you both mentally and physically, to find solutions to your presenting issues and work on practical coping strategies to enable you to re gain control of your life for your well being.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
