About me
Hello, I'm Kirsty. I offer a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their feelings and experiences. My goal is to help you navigate whatever may be creating strong emotions, causing blocks, or hindering your understanding of yourself. As a mum to a lively 3-year-old, I understand the joys and challenges that come with personal growth as well as parenting.
In my personal life, I enjoy listening to music, indulging in pamper sessions, and spending quality time with friends and family. I cherish family days out with my husband and little one, as these moments remind me of the importance of balance and joy in life.
My Philosophy: I believe that you are the leader of your own journey, and I am here as your facilitator. My role is to support and guide you as you explore your thoughts and feelings. Currently, I am on my own journey of self-discovery as I await an ADHD assessment, which has deepened my empathy and insight into the struggles many face. I believe that when we take the time to delve into our emotions, we can identify patterns that no longer serve us, empowering us to make positive changes for a happier and more fulfilling life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (TC-L4) from CPCAB in 2016 and have since pursued various training courses to deepen my knowledge in areas such as birth trauma, addiction, domestic abuse, and workplace stress. My lived experiences with neurodivergence, parenthood, and loss further enrich my understanding of my client's needs. Throughout my counselling career, I have built therapeutic relationships with clients of diverse ages, races, genders, and cultures, each seeking support for a wide range of reasons. This breadth of experience allows me to approach each client with empathy and an open mind, fostering a safe and supportive environment for their journey.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
