About me

Can Therapy Help You?

What really matters to you is whether I can understand what you're going through and help you feel better. My honest answer is that I hope to—and I have for many clients. Seeing people grow in confidence, learn to trust themselves, feel safer in the world, and find joy and fulfillment is exactly why I do this work.

My role is to support you until you no longer need my support—until you trust yourself to navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence. Challenges will always come, but you’ll know you can handle them.

The goal of our work together is to help you feel better, understand and meet your own needs, quiet self-criticism, find purpose, and wake up with hope instead of dread.

Above all, I want to support your healing—both mind and body—after difficult experiences. Your responses to trauma are completely understandable given what you’ve been through, but you’re not stuck. Change and healing are possible.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.

My Approach

I take an integrative and trauma-informed approach to therapy.

If you often feel anxious, on edge, disconnected from yourself or others, or struggle to find joy in life, these may be signs of trauma. My goal is to help you understand why this happens and guide you toward feeling more at peace, engaged, and connected.

Because therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, I draw from different therapeutic approaches to find what works best for you. If something doesn’t feel right, we won’t force it—we’ll adapt as we go.

Everyone’s healing journey is unique, so there’s no set timeline for progress. I offer open-ended sessions, which we’ll review together to ensure you’re getting what you need.

If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, feel free to reach out.

Training, qualifications & experience

Here's a restructured version while maintaining the same warm and supportive tone:

I have spent many years working with individual adults in therapy, supporting clients from all walks of life. My experience includes working with people of different ages, backgrounds, genders, sexualities, spiritual beliefs, neurotypes, social groups, family structures, and abilities.

In recent years, I have specialized in working with survivors of rape, sexual assault, and childhood sexual abuse. I have also provided support to those who have experienced domestic abuse.

Beyond trauma work, I have helped clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts and OCD, childhood trauma, ongoing health issues, loss of purpose, uncertainty, phobias, surgical trauma, loneliness, and relationship difficulties.

If you’re unsure whether I can help with your specific concern, just reach out—there’s no charge to ask.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I'm deeply interested in trauma and the science behind it, particularly how the brain and nervous system respond to trauma and shape our behaviors and daily experiences. Research shows that trauma responses are not flaws—they are protective mechanisms designed to help us survive.

Trauma can result from a single event or a series of experiences that threaten your physical or emotional safety. It can influence how you see yourself, others, and the world, affecting your mood, relationships, habits, and coping strategies.

Driven by this passion, I’m currently training as a Somatic Experiencing® practitioner, focusing on healing trauma through the body’s sensations and nervous system regulation.

I’m also a qualified NLP practitioner and offer single-session phobia interventions. This approach does not involve direct exposure to the feared object but instead disrupts the automatic fear response, allowing you to view it in a new way—pricing available upon inquiry.
