Hello and welcome to my page
Here you can find information about how I might be able to help you and about the way i work, as well as a little about what you might expect from counselling.
You can also search for KS Counselling on Facebook.
How can I help?
In a safe, confidential space we can work together to explore issues you are experiencing. I can aid you to verbalise how you might be feeling, what might be worrying you and together we can work towards helping you feel more confident and more in control.
I can help with anxiety, depression and feelings of loneliness and isolation, relationship problems, stress, anger, self harming, abuse, trauma issues, bereavement and other issues you might bring to session.
Is counselling right for me?
Everyday life brings all kinds of issues and you can sometimes feel overwhelmed, exhausted or just plain stuck. You might have feelings of depression, anxiety or feel as though you don't know which way to turn.
Bereavement is a difficult time for us and you might be feeling as though you have nobody to share feelings and emotions with and you are struggling to make sense of what you are experiencing.
You may have experienced abuse or a traumatic event which is affecting your mental and or physical health and want to talk this through or you might be feeling stuck and unable to move forward and as though nothing makes much sense.
Therapeutic counselling can help you feel stronger and have clarity, take control of things again and feel more confident and hopeful.
Whatever issues you might be experiencing I will listen to you without judgement and support you through this difficult time. Even if you feel unsure and confused I can support you to make sense of things and we can work through things together to help you move forward and make changes.
How do I work?
I am an Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and work with Psychodynamic and Gestalt theories - however, the sessions are client lead and we will work together to try to understand your experience(s) from your perspective. I work in non-judgemental way which allows you to look at and explore issues with a view to improving your emotional and mental well-being and/or working towards any changes you identify and want to make in your life. In my experience working this way can help you improve your sense of self-worth, and enable you to find a way to move forward.
I offer a professional counselling service from rooms in Killin and Callander. The therapeutic space is confidential and safe. I am BACP registered and have professional insurance.
I acknowledge that it can be really hard to make that first step, but if you feel that it is something you want explore further then we can arrange an initial/introductory telephone conversation and these will last just 20 minutes and free of charge. At this time you will be able to ask any questions you might have, and explore whether you feel counselling is right for you at this time.
If you choose to make an appointment, I can offer daytime (between 10am and 4pm) Sessions will be face to face and last for 50 minutes.
Should you have any questions regarding counselling or appointments you can email, text or call. If I am unable to answer please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Your enquiry will be accessed by only me therefore ensuring confidentiality. I will respond within 24 hours of receiving an enquiry.
