Hello, and welcome.
Taking the first step to contact me can be a tough decision; inquiring about counselling often isn't easy.
You may have uncertainties and lots of questions, so I hope the following information can assist with this.
You, maybe going through a challenging time in your life, and there is a reason why you are feeling low or anxious, other times you may just have that nagging feeling that something isn't right.
At different times in our lives, many of us will feel stressed, anxious, or depressed - maybe even suicidal. It can be due to a relationship, work, or you are experiencing generalised anxiety or low mood.
We all know that change is not always easy, so together you will be supported to explore these difficult times in a safe environment.
Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of clients, aged from 16 to 90+.
My experience has allowed me to work within many health settings, GP surgeries being one of them. I am aware of the length of therapy waiting lists, and with anxiety, low mood and depression on the rise, booking an appointment with a private counsellor may be necessary.
I have over 25 years' experience of working in the field of emotional health and supporting wellbeing. I specialise in Domestic Abuse and currently provide counselling to adults who have experienced living with a range of abusive behaviours. I work with males and females and am aware of the scars physical, emotional, psychological, and controlling behaviour leaves behind.
The impact of domestic abuse can leave you feeling like you can never trust anyone else. The process of overcoming this is challenging, but I believe in you, and we will work together, so you do too.
I understand how anxieties and low mood can affect your personal life, new relationships, work, children, and even paying bills.
Taking your first step on a journey to recovery will help you to work through these challenges, you will learn about abusive behaviour and develop new coping skills.
You are the storyteller of your destiny, and counselling helps you find your inner strength and power.
