About me

Hello, I'm a fully trained counselling psychotherapist and I offer private individual therapy on an ongoing or short-term basis, either face to face or online. I am trained in the Psychodynamic method and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and use an integration of these ideas to best help you. It can be difficult to find a space to reflect and I offer a secure, non-judgemental, confidential environment, where together we can find that space for you. I am experienced in counselling clients from diverse backgrounds with their concerns

I am very patient and understand that taking that first step towards counselling and beginning to make changes can be very difficult and I will support you through this process.

What to expect when you contact me:

*Covid19 Update: All face to face sessions are now taking place online via secure video calling, until further notice. New clients; please contact me to arrange an assessment.

Firstly we'll have a brief chat on the phone or by email to discuss your concerns and arrange a time and day for your initial assessment. At this assessment, you will have space to talk about what has brought you to therapy and ask any questions about the process. The most important thing is that you feel confident we can work together. We will then decide together how long you'd like counselling for and agree a weekly appointment.

I am based in Covent Garden, Central London, within easy access from Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden and Holborn tube stations.

Please visit my website www.thelisteningpractice.co.uk for more details.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to private practice, I have also worked in the charity sector.

I have a Foundation Degree and BSc in Short-term Psychodynamic Counselling & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - BACP Accredited.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work strictly within their code of ethics and guidelines.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
