My philosophy

From time to time all of us face difficult times and situations where the usual strategies we use to cope or manage don’t work the way they once used to. It is at those times where it can be helpful to create the time to reflect alongside a supportive and experienced professional. As a Registered Counselling Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist, I am geared towards enabling individuals to maximise and draw on their internal resources to feel empowered and in control of their lives.

Trained in more than one therapeutic approach, I am able to tailor our sessions to your personal needs depending on the issues you bring and depending on what you would like to achieve. Sometimes, working this out can itself form the early stages of the therapeutic process.

Collaborative working:

I provide a confidential, non-judgmental space where we can work together to explore and unravel some of the things that may be contributing to your current difficulties, as well as identify the changes necessary in order to move towards a less distressing place, where you can begin to live your life to the full. This might involve processing some significant life experiences, understanding how your past might be affecting you now, or learning new strategies and techniques to help you in your everyday life.

Getting in touch and arranging a consultation:

The best way to contact me is by email. If you are looking for therapy, it is helpful to know what areas you are specifically looking for help with if possible.  When spaces are available, I am very happy to arrange a free informal 20 minute chat to help you decide if you would like to book a consultation.
