About me

I grew up in a family that had complex needs due to my younger brother being mentally and physically disabled. I experienced discrimination of various kinds from different people from all walks of life. This pattern carried on throughout various stages in my life, experiencing emotions that I had to deal with by myself. I needed help, but received nothing. This experience made me stronger and I got to know myself, which enabled me to see what my strengths and weaknesses were.

I know how it feels when there is no one there by your side; because of this I have changed my career and life in a way so that I can help others in achieving their goals. This is why I chose to specialise within the age group of 6 to 25 years because I believe these to be the most formative years of our lives that pave the way for the future.

The way I work is my belief in the susceptibility to change, we are not static. We have the ability to understand our issues and the capabilities to change our direction for a better way of living.

Our Service

At MMOODS Counselling, we are a husband and wife team both holding the qualification of BA Hons in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. Between us, we have 13 years of experience within the Counselling field and we are registered members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

As a husband and wife team we present our counselling services in a safe, warm, non-judgemental, transparent, confidential and trustful environment. We strongly feel this instigates an ability within you to deal with any presenting issues that you may have.
We have worked with a diverse range of clients from differing backgrounds, cultures and age groups, ranging from children, young people and adults.

In relation to this; the way we work in our counselling practice enables you to explore your emotions and feelings along with working collaboratively to make sense of the world, make the right changes for you and even the acceptance of the things that you cannot change.

We look forward to being beside you as your counsellor while you reflect on growing, changing and empowering yourself to reach your full potential.
