Kevin Woodley Adv Diploma Counselling Psychotherapist MBACP
There are times in our lives where we all experience life situations and events that feel very overwhelming and difficult to deal with. It may create feelings of anger, stress, being unable to cope with everyday situations, feelings of sadness, of being low, frustrated or powerless. Sometimes it can be hard and confusing for us to understand why we may be thinking and feeling a certain way. These times in our lives can be very lonely and it can be extremely difficult to find someone to talk to who will understand and appreciate what it is that you may be experiencing, without being judgemental or giving their advice, someone who will really listen! It takes a brave person to seek help and counselling could be the first step in gaining clarity within your life.
I am a qualified counsellor, who uses an Integrative approach including CBT, Humanistic and Psychodynamic theory. My aim is to firstly provide a warm, friendly, confidential and professional environment in which you can explore the issues that you feel need addressing. We will look at the underlying issues that are causing these difficulties and work towards change and self discovery.
I offer both short term and long term counselling for individuals. I am fully insured and am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) abiding by their ethical framework and guidelines. All my work is fully supervised. I also regularly attend continuous professional development training opportunities to keep me up to date with new ways of helping individuals.

MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
