Hi I'm Kevin. Thank you for taking the time to check my profile.
I am an integrated counsellor (meaning I use several styles of counselling to fit each individual client). This flexibility allows me to work with you to find the best way forward to suit your individual needs.
My experience with Brentwood MIND, Southend Carers and Changing Pathways mean that I have dealt with a multitude of different issues.
I work mostly in a way that allows you to explore your issues at your own pace ) however I can also use CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) for more solution focussed work and Transactional Analysis as appropriate depending on your needs.
I provide one to one counselling and I am willing to include walk and talk (particularly suited to depression). For those with mobility issues I am willing to assess home visits.
I am a registered member of the BACP (Reg. No. 251465) and as such I follow their ethical guidelines. (Their ethical framework can be found on their websitehttp://www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework/new_ef.php)
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified counsellor, registered with the BACP and working towards accreditation.
I have worked as a volunteer at Southend Carers (caring for unpaid carers 2015-17), whilst I am still volunteering at Brentwood MIND and Changing Pathways.

I offer sessions to counselling students at a discounted rate of £25/session.
My current premises are not suitable for those with problems with stairs.
I take one sessions money in advance as a deposit against non attendance. This pays for a final session when the counselling comes to a conclusion.
Failure to advise at least 24 hours in advance would lead to the forfeit of the deposit.
Late arrival to a session does not mean that the session will be extended beyond the planned end time.
