The experience of therapy.
Depression, grief, anxiety, trauma, intimacy, sexual or relational issues, low self-esteem or confidence or addiction. Whatever your reason for considering counselling or longer-term psychotherapy, I provide a trusting, safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where you can be heard and feel safe enough to identify and share issues that you are currently experiencing. You will be encouraged and supported to speak honestly and openly and be understood and accepted for who you really are. Your journey of discovery-your chance to grow. Effective counselling or psychotherapy helps you make the changes you would like to see happen. The main object is having the motivation to explore your self-awareness and self-understanding and discover new strengths. It promotes increased self-esteem and confidence leading to a more contented life with happier relationships (both with yourself and with others).
Fear of opening up to a stranger.
Initially I was scared not really wanting to admit there was anything wrong. The shame, frustration and anger preventing me from saying I need help. Being honest with myself. When I took the first step and found the pace of sessions was dictated by me I began to relax and offload venting some of life’s frustrations and fundamental emotional issues.
Training, qualifications & experience
My journey of experience.
Through my own journey into recovery I discovered through counselling and psychotherapy how to cope with the parts of me that affected my self-esteem and confidence and the ability to problem solve, change and grow.
One of the models I integrate into my practice is the Post Induction Therapy model (PIT). This enables us to study how the Family of Origin dynamics can block our emotional growth leading to developmental immaturity (co-dependency). This can further develop into trauma causing issues with intimacy, sex and love.
We basically work with what you bring allowing us both to establish an understanding of what your needs are.
Counselling can deal with long term needs or simply day-to-day ones that require greater understanding. Sessions can be short term or ongoing. The choice is yours.
Each session is personalised to match your explicit and implicit needs. These needs are often fluid and changeable.
I now practice as an Integrative trained counsellor and life-coach having qualified with a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling and a BSc (Hons) in Reflective Therapeutic Practice gained at the Metanoia Institute and Middlesex University in London.

Fees and How it works.
All clients are offered an initial telephone consultation. This will help you decide whether further counselling would be useful. Should you decide to continue with the counselling, arrangements will be made to have weekly regular 50 minute sessions at a mutually convenient time. Each session is £70 at my Fulham Practice and £85 at the Harley Street Practice. Concessions are available under certain circumstances. This can be discussed at point of contact.
How I work
As a counsellor, I offer face-to-face sessions on a 1:1 basis.
I work with individuals age 16+ on a short-term, long-term or open-ended basis. I also work with Child and Adolescents depending on the situation which would be discussed at referral stage.
My clients include all genders, backgrounds, sexual orientations, races and ethnicities. If you would like to know more contact me at my practice, by telephone or via email.
This is an opportunity for you to outline your needs, expectations and discuss any current issues you may be having.
