About me

As a qualified person-centred counsellor I offer a confidential counselling service that is empathetic and non-judgemental. I work in an integrated way which means I am flexible to tailor our sessions to suit your needs. This is underpinned with a Person-Centred Approach.

I believe that everyone at some point in their life needs help getting through the emotional difficulties that come up, whether it be a current issue or something that you have carried around for a long time. I provide a safe space in which you can explore your feelings and together we can find a way for you to move forward in a positive way.

I also offer a 'walk and talk' service which essentially means we have our counselling sessions outside in a natural setting such as a park. There is growing evidence that spending time in nature is effective at improving our mood and mental wellbeing as well as improving our physical health.

How counselling can help

Counselling can be useful for anyone who wants to explore the way they're thinking or feeling further, as well as for anyone experiencing a problem or issue they are keen to resolve. People may choose to speak to a counsellor because they feel they cannot speak to anyone in life about such personal issues.

What to expect in your first session

In our first session together we will talk about how the counselling process works, discuss a working agreement which will inform you on how we will work together and your expectations and goals.
