About me

I am an Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist working at the Northern Guild. I have over a decade of clinical experience, I work with a wide range of presenting issues and specialise in trauma focused work. I use a variety of ways to work with trauma, one being EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based psychotherapy approach designed to help you process past trauma, reduce emotional distress, and regain a sense of calm and control in your life.

Whether you're dealing with:

Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)

Anxiety or panic

Childhood trauma or neglect

Bereavement or loss

Depression

Phobias or low self-esteem

Attachment issues

EMDR can support you in moving forward.

Beginning Psychotherapy can be a very challenging and anxiety provoking time. I believe the relationship is the heart of the work and tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Having taught and supervised extensively within this profession, I am passionate to help you reach your desired goals. Transactional analysis is my core model, as well as trauma focused models such as EMDR. I offer clients a safe and empowering therapeutic space for deep healing and transformation.

I have worked in a wide range of mental health services both in the NHS and private sector. This has shaped my experience and helped me be able to work with a range of presenting issues such as, anxiety disorders, depression disorders, bereavement and end of life, self-esteem issues, personality disorders, relationship problems, attachment issues, and trauma including PTSD.

I personally know what it’s like to take that first step into Psychotherapy. That journey of self-healing has changed my life for the better. I hope to do the same for you.
