Kerry Lilley - A non therapy therapist offering CBT.

Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28

About me

Many of my clients tell me that I am not a traditional ‘therapy therapist’, and that I provide a relaxed and relatable approach to improving their mental wellbeing. It’s not uncommon for there to be a bit of laughter in our sessions. If this sounds like it might suit you then get in touch here.

I did not set out to work with a specific kind of person, however around 80% of my clients tend to be women aged between thirty and fifty years old. They feel anxious, panicky or stressed and worry endlessly, frequently telling themselves that they are 'not good enough'. They have lost their zest for life with little understanding of why! These feelings might might be fairly new, seemingly unexplained or they may have been around for decades triggered by past traumatic events, difficult relationships, or the challenges of juggling life, family and work.

Does this sound like you? Even if it doesn't, no matter what you are going through, I may be able to help. I will provide you with the time and space to talk, and help you understand how and why your difficulties began, and more importantly, why they continue. If so take a look at my website and get in touch: www.therapyavenue.com.

I will support you to work towards your goals and create the future you deserve. We will work as a team; you know yourself better than anybody and I know just how to help you. Just one call or email will bring you one step closer to feeling better.

Whoever you are, no matter what you are going through, I will provide you with the time and space to talk about you, help you to understand how and why your difficulties began and more importantly, why they continue. I will support you in learning new skill and making the required changes to improve your mental wellbeing.

I offer a free telephone chat which allows you to find out if I might be the kind of therapist you would like to work with. It also allows me to get to know a little about you and ensure that you could benefit from working with me. No pressure or obligation. Therapy will work so much better if you actually want to work with me and feel ready to take the next step. If we are not the right fit, I am happy to share resources with you that might help and then sign post you to somebody else. If we are the right fit then you would have just taken the first step to positive change and that can only be a good thing.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
