Many of my clients tell me that I am not a traditional ‘therapy therapist’, and that I provide a relaxed and relatable approach to improving their mental wellbeing. It’s not uncommon for there to be a bit of laughter in our sessions. If this sounds like it might suit you then get in touch here.
I did not set out to work with a specific kind of person, however around 80% of my clients tend to be women aged between thirty and fifty years old. They feel anxious, panicky or stressed and worry endlessly, frequently telling themselves that they are 'not good enough'. They have lost their zest for life with little understanding of why! These feelings might might be fairly new, seemingly unexplained or they may have been around for decades triggered by past traumatic events, difficult relationships, or the challenges of juggling life, family and work.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. I have over thirteen years of experience working with people with both common and complex presentations. I have worked in a variety of settings including NHS, forensic, residential and charity.
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.
BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

We normally start with a free informal chat by telephone. This offers you the chance to decide if you might like to work with me, and allows me an opportunity to ensure that CBT might be suitable for you. If you would then like to book an appointment I charge £80 per session.
I have appointments subject to availability on:
Monday 9am - 8pm.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6pm - 8pm.
Friday 9am -3pm
