Deciding to see a counsellor is a brave decision and congratulations on exploring your options. I know from personal experience that clients want a counsellor who
- listens to them
- is non-judgemental and understands the challenges they are faced with.
- helps them see the wood from the trees so they can move forward.
I offer all of the above and more along with a safe, confidential environment providing a space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and actions without the fear of consequences or judgement.
If something is troubling you, you do not need to tackle your concerns alone, I am here to help guide your self-discovery and support you on your journey

Training, qualifications & experience
I am an integrative counsellor so can offer you whichever approach is best for you, for example, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis and various other theoretical orientations.
I have completed additional training in working with children and young people.
Prior to training as a counsellor, I worked in the education sector and have a great deal of experience in communicating with young people, educationalists and those in related professions. I am able to bring this experience into the counselling room not just through my communication and listening skills but with my understanding of work-related stress, leadership issues, the pressure of working in the public sector, coping with teenagers and helping young people to develop, grow and increase their self awareness.
Areas of counselling I deal with
- Anger management
- Behaviour problems
- Child related issues
- Childhood bullying
- Depression and anxiety in children
- Generalised anxiety disorder
- Health anxiety
- Low self-confidence
- Low self-esteem
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Panic attacks
- Relationship problems
- Work-related stress
I work out of premises in Westcliffe on Sea and offer a free assessment.
My rates are competitive at £40 a session. Reduced fees are available for students and those not in employment.
Free parking is available for two hours outside the premises and in the streets nearby. Westcliffe train stations a few minutes walk away.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am committed to working in accordance with their Ethical Framework.
I entered Education because of my desire to help individuals develop, explore and open up new opportunities for themselves. The same desire drives my counselling practice. Each one of us is a unique individual with the capacity to make choices, learn about ourselves and develop an understanding of the paths we wish to follow. There are often obstacles but together we can work on finding solutions that work for you, after all, YOU MATTER.
