Hi my name is Kerry; I am a person centred therapist based in Northwich. I am committed to helping people when they are faced with unexpected challenges, as it is at times like this when people can feel overwhelmed and struggle to find a way forward. I can provide either short-term or long-term counselling as your individual needs will be the focus of our work together. It can often seem a daunting task to make sense of your current situation but I can help you to work through difficult and often conflicting thoughts and feelings to enable you to live life to the full.
I provide a safe, non-judgemental environment for you to discuss your worries, anxieties or concerns in confidence, as talking things through with someone who will really listen can help you to gain a sense of clarity. I believe that developing a relationship of shared trust and respect is essential for effective counselling and I feel it is therefore important that a comfortable connection is built between the client and the counsellor.
We will work at your pace and at a depth that you feel comfortable with. As a result, you may be able to see things from a new perspective and discover solutions or answers, to enable you to move forwards with a greater sense of self-awareness.
This of course does not mean that counselling is always about change, it may in some cases be about accepting, in a more peaceful way, that some things are beyond your power to change, or control.
