Kerri Relton - Pet Bereavement Counsellor

About me

Welcome to Soul Pets at the Online Therapy Room, my name is Kerri and I am a registered MBACP counsellor and certified online therapist, with a specialist nationwide online practice to help anyone over the age of 18 cope with the death, loss or illness of a pet. As a pet lover and owner of 30 years, I have experienced first hand many times the pain that comes with the loss of a pet and how hard it can be to find someone who truly understands. I have created Soul Pets at The Online Therapy Room as a safe space for you to talk with someone who wants to listen and guide you though the very difficult and sometimes frightening feelings you may be experiencing at this time.

Sometimes a pet does not need to pass away to result in immense feelings of grief, perhaps you have lost a pet, they have run away from home or maybe you’ve had to suffer the pain of your pet being stolen, perhaps your pet has been given a diagnosis of a terminal illness and you are struggling to cope with this news and what it means for you and your family. Maybe you are here because you had to rehome a pet or lost your pet in a situation such a relationship or family breakdown and you feel unable to cope without them anymore. Perhaps you’ve felt overwhelmed with feelings of guilt, shame anger and sadness. Maybe you need to rehome your pet and just need someone to share your feelings with before making your final decisions.

I welcome you reaching out to me, I offer a safe online space which could be Email, video webcam chat, instant messaging (IM) or Telephone counselling to give you the space and time to talk and be heard and help you to move past your troubling emotions and help process what has happened. Please have a look at my website which has lots of information about online counselling. Email me to book a telephone consultation on a day and time that suits you.
