About me

We often struggle to live our day to day lives in a happy, peaceful and settled way due to being faced with difficult experiences, complicated relationships and strong emotions. When we are given a safe space that is ours to look at the issues that we struggle with, it often leads to greater self-awareness, higher self worth and a clearer picture of who we are and how we want to live our lives.

I can support and guide you, while you as the expert explore and process which in turn can allow you to live a life that is more fulfilling and satisfying to you.

I offer a safe space for you to explore and process difficult feelings, strong emotions and complicated relationships. Counselling is time to focus on you and the issues that are troubling you and a chance to build further self awareness which empowers us to grow and develop and make realistic and long lasting change within ourselves and our world.

I also have experience of working with mothers and their families who are struggling with PND and worked in a charity setting for six years which enabled me to effectively support and empower individuals who found life difficult and needed some hope for a better future.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
