About me

Hello, I’m Kelly, a fully qualified and experienced counsellor offering online therapy to clients across the UK.

I specialise in couples therapy - helping couples navigate challenges such as communication breakdowns, trust issues, and emotional disconnection. Relationships, whether with others or with ourselves, can be complex. Relationships are a journey, and it’s natural to face challenges along the way. My warm, empathic, and non-judgemental style provides a safe and supportive space for both partners to feel heard, valued, and understood - where you can explore your emotions, navigate difficulties, and discover practical solutions.

I also work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including depression and the emotional impact of dementia. My person-centred approach, combined with integrative techniques, allows me to create tailored support for both individuals and couples alike.

Whether you’re addressing a specific issue, seeking to reconnect as a couple, or managing personal challenges, I’m here to guide and support you. Helping you rediscover connection, harmony, and mutual understanding.

How I Work

  • Person-Centred Approach: Your experiences and feelings guide the process, helping you uncover solutions tailored to your needs, feeling authentic to you.
  • Techniques: Although I am mainly trained in the person-centred approach, I am also trained to combine tools from various therapeutic models to address the unique needs of your relationship.
  • Issues supported: I specialise in addressing challenges ranging from communication issues and relationship breakdowns, to managing depression and the emotional complexities of dementia. However my training means I can support most issues.
  • Safe, Non-Judgemental Space: Whether you’re part of a couple or an individual. Whether you’re navigating conflict, healing from past wounds, or seeking to build a stronger connection, I provide a compassionate environment where honesty, growth and healing are encouraged.
  • Balanced Support: For couples, I provide an impartial and fair environment. I am not here to take sides. I treat each partner with the same level of Unconditional Positive Regard (UPR), ensuring fairness and mutual respect throughout our work together.

What Makes Me Different

As a couples counsellor, I understand that no two relationships are the same. My focus is on empowering you as a couple to move forward together, rather than prescribing one-size-fits-all solutions. By fostering deeper understanding and improved communication, I help couples develop skills that last far beyond our sessions.

In addition to couples counselling, I bring a depth of understanding to working with individuals affected by depression/anxiety and those navigating the impact of dementia - whether as patients or caregivers. My approach is designed to empower clients to address challenges head-on, fostering resilience, emotional clarity, and practical coping strategies.

What to Expect

In our sessions, you can expect to:

  • Improve communication and active listening.
  • Address and resolve recurring conflicts with greater clarity.
  • Strengthen trust, intimacy, and emotional connection.
  • Work together as a team to navigate challenges and rediscover your goals.
  • Develop practical tools to manage depression and related symptoms.
  • Navigate the challenges and emotions associated with dementia, whether as an individual or a caregiver.
  • All sessions are conducted online, providing a convenient and accessible way to receive professional support from the comfort of your home.

Next Steps

Taking the first step toward counselling can feel daunting, but it’s also one of the most empowering decisions you can make for your personal well-being or relationship. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your partnership or work through individual challenges, I’d be honoured to support you on this journey. Get in touch today to begin your path toward positive change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
