About me
I am a Consultant clinical psychologist. I continue to work in the NHS as well as an independent practitioner providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy for adults and adolescents.
I specialise working with adults and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health or wellbeing difficulties and associated difficult behaviours.
I use a range of therapeutic skills to provide long-lasting recovery from distress.
Therapy is driven by a collaborative formulation which will be developed within the early sessions so that both you and I are able to fully understand the impact and root causes of difficulties which will then support long term recovery and improved wellbeing.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualifications:
- HCPC clinical psychologist.
- MSC applied practice in forensic mental health
- BSC Psychology (Hons)
Trained in:
- EMDR, CBT, CFT, DBT
- Range of risk assessments
- Autism diagnostics
Experience:
I have worked in mental health services for almost 3 decades. I currently provide leadership and specialist provision within the NHS, with previous experience of leading psychological and therapy services for adolescents.
Throughout my career, I have continued to provide specialist assessment and intervention for a range of mental health, behavioural and wellbeing difficulties.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

I have a fixed rate of £100 for a 50 minutes session (cash or BACS).
I am not registered with any health insurers.
