Keith Carlton, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
I am an experienced United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) accredited psychotherapist based in Norwich.
I offer either individual psychotherapy or couple and relationship counselling, and will work with you either in a shorter term, solution-focused manner, when addressing specific problems in the here-and-now, or longer term in a psychoanalytically-based model, when exploring deep seated issues which require a longer term intervention. I work face to face and also by phone and Skype. I have particular experience in working with LGBT clients and am a Clinical Associate of Pink Therapy.
I work with a broad range of issues including:
- separation issues
- low self esteem
- the impacts of trauma or abuse
- and interpersonal or relationship difficulties.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold the degree of M.Clin.Sci in Psychotherapy, and have been in private practice since qualification, working with a wide range of clients. I have also held various roles within NHS settings including a specialist alcohol addiction unit.
I trained at the University of Kent as a contemporary psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I am an advanced accredited gender, sexuality and relationship diversity therapist, and hold a Pink Therapy diploma in relationship therapy with gender and sexual diversity clients.
