Welcome to my page. I hope you find it helpful in assessing whether therapy will be right for you.
I offer one-to-one sessions and aim to create an open and friendly environment to explore problems, and/or whatever is going on for you - confidentially.
Therapy can include anything from non-judgmental listening and discussion to targeted approaches looking at thought processes and seeking to change them. It can be short-term or long-term work.
Whatever you're looking for, I'm sure we can discuss it and find a way to make it possible.
I work out of a quiet room in the centre of Norwich in a respected and safe venue. I am insured, DBS checked, and member of the BACP (https://www.bacp.co.uk/)
I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
Training, qualifications & experience
My professional qualifications include:
- BACP Certificate of Proficiency
- Post-Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling (The Norwich Centre for Counselling)
- Post-Graduate Certificate in Person-Centred Counselling Skills (University of East Anglia)
In addition, I am able to offer CBT-based approaches and 'Focusing' (a way of getting in touch with difficult feelings).
Couples interested in therapy can also find support through my approach. I'm always keen to enable a relationship to succeed in whatever way possible, and can facilitate good and meaningful communication between two parties.
I am happy to offer art-based therapy. I hold a first-class degree and masters degree in the arts and believe that it can be a wonderful approach, particularly where other approaches have failed to work.
I have also taught mindfulness for five years and can integrate this into our work if that will be helpful.
