About me

I am a qualified Integrative therapist which means that I use different therapeutic models for each of my clients as I don’t think one model fits all. Our sessions are an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and feelings and to be really heard in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

Life can be difficult at times and we often face challenges or have pressures in our lives that can seem overwhelming and just become too much. This may be due to a particular current life situation or experience, and you may feel that you would benefit from support outside your family and friends. Or perhaps it could be an event or experience from your past that hasn’t been resolved or sometimes we just don’t know why we are feeling the way we do. Whatever you circumstances we can work together to explore the reasons why you are feeling this way and discuss ways to resolve unhelpful patterns and move forward with your life.

I offer a free 10 min initial chat where we can discuss the reasons why you would like therapy. This will be an opportunity to discuss in more detail your needs and goals and gives you the chance to ask any questions that you might have.

If you are interested and would like to know more about how we could work together please visit my website www.kayvickerscounselling.com

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
