Kay Leadbeater MNCS Accredited BA Hons.Supervisor
Hello and thank you for reading my profile. I am trained in Transactional Analysis which is a psychotherapy for personal growth and change. I work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, sexual, emotional and physical abuse and relationship issues.
There are many reasons for wanting to find a counsellor and here are just a few:
- Are you in crisis or unhappy and stuck in patterns of behaviour you would like to change?
- You may be in a stage in your life where you need to explore past of present difficult issues that you are unable to share with friends or family
- Or perhaps you feel that there is much more to life than you have at present and want to explore this.
I create a safe and creative environment to work in so that you can feel supported and heard. I encourage clients to listen to their bodies and feel sensations such as butterflies in the stomach, tightness in the chest, neck ache and other physical symptoms, that give us clues to what is happening at a deeper level within ourselves.
I might use art materials exploring colours, shapes and lines to help express feelings that can't be talked about. Dreamwork may be used as this can be a useful way of unlocking unconscious thoughts, feelings and experiences.
I like to take the lead from you and see what you are comfortable with and importantly, what is most useful for you in the sessions. I offer day time slots and also work late afternoon and evenings.
