Kay Cohen 'Dip Couns' - Registered Accreditted MNCS'
Why counselling? - which counsellor?
I have two practices and work in Southend on Sea and Ingatestone.
I am a senior counsellor, experienced accredited member of National counselling Society (MNCS), working with clients with a variety of different issues such as relationships; addictions; domestic abuse, depression, anxiety, work related stress, building confidence, self esteem, loss and bereavement. I celebrate being able to help the people I work with to make a very real difference to their lives.
I focus on bringing change, hope, direction, acceptance, purpose and fulfillment into your life. You choose your own goals then we collaborate to achieve them! During difficult times I can support you to find your own inner resources to cope, and to deal effectively with your situation, building up your natural tenacity in order to gain a healthy perspective on life's obstacles.
I use integrative methods, which means I use a range of different approaches. In simple terms I take an individualistic approach to use the theories that best suit my client’s individual needs.
I offer a free telephone consultation this is an informal discussion to evaluate how I may help you and also for you to evaluate my service - there is no obligation to continue.
I specialise in relationships; all addictions; domestic abuse, depression, anxiety, work related stress, building confidence, self esteem, loss and bereavement.
I have experience of working in the voluntary sector for a bereavement service; substance misuse services; and a domestic violence service as well as private practice.
