Kay Ashcroft MBACP
The Meeting Room
I am a qualified person centred counsellor and member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am based in Burnley with an office in the town centre which is easy to access via motorway, train and bus routes. Metered parking is available directly outside the office which is also fully accessible for wheelchair users. I offer face to face counselling in a comfortable setting with appointments available during the day, evenings and weekends.
I have over 20 years experience as a child care and family support worker, working with families and other professionals within the NHS, Local Authority and the Voluntary Sector. I also have personal experience as a carer. Working and caring for people often in need was the motivation for developing my skills to become a counsellor. It has helped me to understand the value of being able to talk and be listened to at difficult times. As a person centred counsellor I will help you to explore and express your feelings. I am not there to judge, advise or direct but will offer the right conditions to enable you to access your own resources and answers which can bring about positive change.
You may be finding it difficult to decide what to do next particularly if you are not feeling confident or you are anxious about the counselling process. If you would like to phone for a chat initially please feel free to contact me on the mobile number provided, or if you prefer send me a text message or email.
By reaching out you are taking a hugely positive step.
