About me

As a counsellor, I am passionate about supporting individuals to break free from the obstacles that are holding them back, creating space for healing, growth and transformation. I work with those who are ready to explore their inner world, whether that's navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, or simply feeling unfulfilled. My approach is centred on understanding the influence of past experiences, the realities of the present, and the vision for a brighter future. If you're ready to explore, heal, and make meaningful changes, I am here to support you in every step of your journey

By reading this, you've already taken an important step - recognising that counselling might be the support you're seeking. It's completely natural to feel a bit nervous or unsure about starting therapy. Seeking help doesn’t mean you're unable to cope; it simply means you don’t have to face it alone. Counselling provides a safe space to explore what’s happening in your life, whether you're looking for clarity or ways to better navigate life's challenges. Most importantly, it's an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and find a clearer path forward.

What I offer you…

As a trained Person-Centred Counsellor, I approach therapy with a pluralistic mindset. This means I believe you are the expert of your own life, and because each person is unique, so should your therapy.

Person-Centred counselling is rooted in humanistic principles, placing you at the heart of our work together. My goal is to build a trusting relationship where you feel safe, accepted, and understood - a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely, without judgment. I offer a calm, confidential environment to support your journey of self-discovery and growth. We will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, empowering you to develop a deeper sense of well-being and fulfilment.

What drives me is the belief in an innate desire to reach our full potential. Yet, life’s challenges can make it difficult to access the resources within. This is where the therapeutic relationship becomes essential, helping you unlock the strength and clarity needed to create positive, lasting change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My in person sessions are held in a ground floor room in my home, which is fully wheelchair accessible with a wheelchair accessible W.C and off road parking available.
