I charge £50 for an individual assessment session and £45 for consecutive individual 50 minute sessions. I charge £60 for a couples assessment and £50 for consecutive couples sessions. However, I do reserve limited places for reduced fees dependent on low income to committed clients, as can be discussed at assessment stage. 10% discount available to trainee therapists and NHS employees.
I have experience working in public sector and charitable organisations and have a background within mental health and social care settings. I currently work both in private practice and within an IAPT NHS commissioned service.
I practice from an Integrative Psychotherapeutic stance. Integration involves drawing together different psychotherapeutic approaches and blending them based on certain core principles. These core principles are that the client-therapist relationship is an essential aspect of healing and that our development as children affects how we are now. If aspects of us are not supported as children they do not fully develop and cannot integrate seamlessly into our personality. This is where psychotherapy can help. The approach that I practice is a developmental-relational approach that uses further integration of Psychodynamic and Humanistic Psychology. The central aim of the therapy is to establish a therapeutic relationship which will lead to a corrective emotional relationship.
I understand that choosing the right therapist is a big decision and that you want to ensure that you feel you make the right choice, so please feel free to book an initial assessment session with me to see if we seem the right 'fit' for one another.
